More About Me

My Commitment to You

My clients are my priority, and I pride myself on my commitment. I am accessible, knowledgeable, personable, and current. I treat every client with dignity and respect, and conduct all of my real estate transactions with the utmost in professionalism. As a lifelong resident of Spokane, I have a detailed knowledge and understanding of the area both historically and geographically. I have been a Real Estate Professional for 27 years, I have seen good markets, and bad markets and I have been able to survive the "Great Recession" . I am able to represent you in any market, good or bad, buying or selling.

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics from Washington State University. In addition to the continued education required of Realtors to maintain an active license, there are opportunities to study our industry in-depth, which has helped me to better fulfill the needs of my clients. The completion of these courses is represented by obtaining specific designations, of which I have several.

  • ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative): Extended study specifically targeted to buyer representation, combining training with experience in order to deliver professional, ethical, and effective service.
  • SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist): demonstrated the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. GRI (Graduate of the Real Estate Institute): This a multi-course designation which brings experience and education together. It emphasizes legal & regulatory contracts and environmental issues, as well as technology and professional standards.
  • CRS (Certified Residential Specialist): This multi-course designation begins where the GRI leaves off. These classes highlight marketing, client interaction, technology, tax implications, and negotiating.
  • CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager) - Candidate: This designation is the most difficult to obtain. It is comprised of a series of intense classes over multiple years. Extensive testing and demanding guidelines are major components of the CCIM designation, similar to that of a college degree. This designation provides the framework to effectively analyze, list, sell, market, and understand the commercial realm of Real Estate.

Continuing Coursework within the Real Estate Industry

In addition to my designations, I strive to take as many Real Estate classes as time permits in order to better serve my clients. Supplementary coursework also enables me to keep abreast on all aspects of the industry including market trends, negotiation practices, laws and regulations, and especially on current contracts.

Personal

Born and raised in Spokane, I have lived around the Pacific Northwest including Portland, Seattle, Idaho and Montana. However, the pull of my family and the lifestyle of the Spokane area brought me back to my hometown along with my wife, Tammy. I am an avid dog lover and outdoorsman, enjoying activities like camping, hiking, scuba diving, and traveling. As a resident of Spokane, I am involved in many local community activities, as well as the Spokane Association of Realtors, The Washington Association of Realtors, and The National Association of Realtors.
